#CHANGE

How Social Media is Accelerating STEM Inclusion

Jan 27 + 28, 2022

MAIN QUESTIONS

  • What social media tools and strategies currently facilitate societies’ goals in STEM JEDI?

  • What are the activities that resonate culturally and grow viral? Do social media strategies create institutional change and help build stem-identity that leads to amplification of URG career paths? What else is needed around community-building that might accelerate systemic change?

  • What systemic change do you want to see that social media might help facilitate, especially around community building and recruitment (students /faculty), and retention? What strategies are needed to work beyond higher education and look at career stability and growth?
